So Wente keeps talking about how much he loves scotch, so he buys a bottle of Crown tonight.. (It’s the smallish bottle that comes in the purple pouch.) He drinks the whole damn thing.. That’s pretty impressive because though I like whiskey, I can’t seem to go for scotch. So the guy gets points for downing the whole thing… however people who know Dave know what happens when he drinks a tad to much.. yep… welcome to Yuke City, Dave Wente will be your mayor.
Update: Dave is dumb, Crown is not even scotch.. it’s whiskey.. he is dumb.

How’s it going, yo. I am at DFW (Dallas/Fort Worth airport) waiting for my plane. I got to the airport hella early… like 2 o’clock for a 4:50 flight. Not sure why I took the later flight, but I did and here I am. I’m using my phone as a modem so I can get on the internet without paying like $7+ for the wireless hotspots here in the airport. It connects at like high end dialup modem speeds, but it actually seems to be a touch faster, so that’s cool.

The Cubs are on, so I have the MLB gameday updating me. I gotta get back home where the Cubs are on TV everyday…. I’m sick of having the Rangers or Astros on all over down here.

Last night we went for some tex-mex at Chuy’s. It is a hella popular place down in Austin.. If it sounds familiar to you it probably because it is also the place where the Bush twins got busted for drinking several years ago.

Well, by 10 tonight I will be back in Iowa where I get to mow lawn tomorrow.. (I really missed that.)

So, I’m in Austin at my brother’s house and that gives me a change to get out the old school Sega and play some R.B.I. ’94, which in my younger days I could kick his ass in. But now we have played 6 games and I have won a sad one time.. I suck. I would have won this last game but I gave up 3 HR’s to Cub great Ryan Sandberg…

So, yesterday we ate some BBQ from this place in Lockhart, TX. It was damn good.. some brisket, some ribs, and some cheese and jalpeno stuffed sausage.. I just got done eating the left overs for breakfast this morning. We also went tubing down the San Marcos river. That was pretty fun.

Long weekend… long weekend indeed. Went up to Decorah Friday night stayed with Tracey’s best friend Julie and her husband Brad, then Saturday morning we drove up to Green Bay for a wedding. Not only was it at Green Bay, it was at Lambeau Field, the cheese eater’s most holy of temples.

The wedding was pretty cool, it was in the new section the Packers added on to Lambeau. Pretty cool building, I wore my Bears t-shirt on the trip up to help protect me from packer germs.

So, Sunday morning we wake up at 6 to start the trip back to Decorah to drop off Brad and Julie then back to Waverly so I could make sure everything was packed then head to the airport where I flew to Dallas, Tx (via Minn/St. Paul) I am here until Wednesday, then I will drive down to see my brother in Austin. BBQ here I come!!!
