Dorf’s Piece’O'Crap Awards

It’s time for a new feature.  The Piece’O'Crap Awards. The POCA’s are awarded to the biggest waste of spaces I can find.  There are plenty, I know, but here is a couple that will have the honor of being the first nominated.

Police: Couple Offered Hit Man $100 To Kill Grandkids

Lake County deputies said Robert Jackson, 60, and his wife, Versie, 59, traveled to a Best Western hotel Tuesday to meet a hit man — who was an undercover law enforcement officer.

“(The couple) met with the so-called hit man, where they paid the hit man $100 in cash as a down payment for the murder of the wife and her three children,” Lake County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Christie Mysinger said.

These are the grandparents I suggest you not let watch your kids.

Not only are they ‘Piece’O'Craps’, they are some of the ugliest pair of turds you will ever see.

Piece'O'Crap

Seriously… if this ain’t a case to allow summary executions, I don’t know what is….

Report Exonorates Armstrong of Doping

Dutch investigators cleared Lance Armstrong of doping in the 1999 Tour de France on Wednesday, and blamed anti-doping authorities for misconduct in dealing with the American cyclist. A 132-page report recommended convening a tribunal to discuss possible legal and ethical violations by the World Anti-Doping Agency and to consider “appropriate sanctions to remedy the violations.”

Poor little froggies just won’t admit they lack the cycling skills to compete at their own race.

Too short for a good ‘ole prison rogering

Filed under: Misc. — Chris Neuendorf @ 3:43 pm

Too short to go to prison? Judge’s ruling could lead to massive midget crimewave!!

A judge said a 5-foot-1 man convicted of sexually assaulting a child was too small to survive in prison, and gave him 10 years of probation instead.

His crimes deserved a long sentence, District Judge Kristine Cecava said, but she worried that Richard W. Thompson, 50, would be especially imperiled by prison dangers.

“You are a sex offender, and you did it to a child,” she said.

But, she said, “That doesn’t make you a hunter. You do not fit in that category.”

Thompson will be electronically monitored the first four months of his probation, and he was told to never be alone with someone under age 18 or date or live with a woman whose children were under 18. Cecava also ordered Thompson to get rid of his pornography.

He faces 30 days of jail each year of his probation unless he follows its conditions closely.

Come on!!!  Probation?  Sounds pretty damn weak to me… especially for some sicko who should be swinging from a rope.

All my shows are over!

Filed under: Entertainment — Chris Neuendorf @ 10:47 pm

Just got done watching the season ending LOST, was it just me or was that the worlds weirdest ending….

Anyway, this pretty much marks the end of the normal TV season..  Other then Stargate coming back in July the reason of the summer is going to be filled with the crappy a$$ shows that are not good enough to be on during the regular season… But hey, as long as Dog the Bounty Hunter is on, I got something to watch. :-)

Soul Patrol!!!!

Filed under: Misc. — Chris Neuendorf @ 9:06 pm

Wooooooooo!!  Ok, so I have never really watch American Idol before.  Sure, I watched the first few weeks at the start of the season to watch all the bad singers they give false hope too only to crush their dreams, but I have never really watched it after that.

Until this year….

Yeah, I’ve watched pretty much every episode this year, and I have actually voted a time or two…  The only reason I dare admit this is because the dude that I picked way back at the beginning when I first saw him audition won the whole damn thing!!!

That’s right… back when they had like a big ass group of 64 or whatever I said Taylor Hicks is the dude I want to win.  Though I have no documented proof, my buddies can back me up.  They have been giving me crap about liking him for a while.

Not sure what it is… I can’t stand pop music and his voice is totally not pop, so that helps.  Also he is 30 and has gray hair… just like me!! (I only have some gray)

So Soul Patrol is your winner!! WOOOOOOO!!!

Soul Patrol!!

Missouri.. armpit of Midwest?

Filed under: Misc. — Chris Neuendorf @ 1:26 pm

Iowa shares it’s southern border with Missouri..  There is an old joke, if you took the bottom two rows of counties in Iowa and gave them to Missouri, both states average IQ would rise sharply. :-)

It appears the town of Black Jack, population just under 7,000 is trying to kick out a family of 5 because the parents are not married.

The brewing controversy in Black Jack, a town of 6,800 in the central state of Missouri, began unfolding earlier this year when Olivia Shelltrack and Fondray Loving were denied an occupancy permit after moving into a four-bedroom house they had purchased.

Local officials told the couple that the fact they were not married and had three children, one from Shelltrack’s previous relationship, did not fit the town’s definition of “family”.

A Black Jack ordinance prohibits more than three people from living together in a single family home unless they are related by “blood, marriage or adoption”.

So let me get this straight, a man and a chick, who have 3 kids, two of which actually came from said couple, are not the definition of “family?”  WTF?!?!? If parents and their childern are not a family then I don’t know what the hell is?

Everytime I get sick of the Iowa winter and want to move south all I have to do is drive a few hours south to figure out it’s probably best if I just stay up here… fricken weirdo’s.

Al’s quest against Manbearpig

The world is doomed and it’s all our fault!!  Al Gore’s movie “An Inconvenient Truth” hits the big screen this week.  Check out this article over at TCS Daily. (hat tip Andrew Sullivan)

“An Inconvenient Truth” is billed as the scariest movie you’ll ever see. It may well be, but that’s in part because it is not the most accurate depiction of the state of global warming science. The enormous uncertainties surrounding the global warming issue are conveniently missing in “An Inconvenient Truth.”

I don’t know how much green house gas Al sends into the air flying around the globe, but until I see him riding around on a horse I am not going to worry too much. :-)

UPDATE: A Sullivan reader responds to the TSC Daily article.
