What a ridiculous map. If George Bush is a centrist, then Kim Jong-il is a soccer mom.
John Kerry is right there too.. not sure how they come up with that.
It politics that make you think Bush should be more right than is represented by this map. We are polarized by rhetoric.
The damn bases push people to the left and right. Look at poor Lieberman. Here is a dude who votes VERY left 95% of the time, but because he was for the Iraq war, he is vilified by the Lefty nutjobs as being a Repub, when he is very liberal.
Should Bush be that close to the center on that map? Probably not, but you look at his immigration stance, that a centrist stance. If you read Andrew Sullivan you’ll hear about how a lot of folks in the administration don’t have any problems with gay folk, but since they are too reliant on the religous right, that goes to the wayside.
That’s why I am going to be the future Mayor of Waverly and nothing more.
I have positions on both sides of the isle, which would make me hated by both sides.
