Uh oh… from Politico. Remember Al “Manbearpig” Gore’s stance on guns cost him his home state of Tennesee and with that the election. You can bet Hilldog is going to try to ram this stuff home.

During his first run for elected office, Barack Obama played a greater role than his aides now acknowledge in crafting liberal stands on gun control, the death penalty and abortion– positions that appear at odds with the more moderate image he’s projected during his presidential campaign.

The evidence comes from an amended version of an Illinois voter group’s detailed questionnaire, filed under his name during his 1996 bid for a state Senate seat.

Late last year, in response to a Politico story about Obama’s answers to the original questionnaire, his aides said he “never saw or approved” the questionnaire.

They asserted the responses were filled out by a campaign aide who “unintentionally mischaracterize(d) his position.”

But a Politico examination determined that Obama was actually interviewed about the issues on the questionnaire by the liberal Chicago non-profit group that issued it. And it found that Obama – the day after sitting for the interview – filed an amended version of the questionnaire, which appears to contain Obama’s own handwritten notes adding to one answer.

I like this line myself.. They asserted the responses were filled out by a campaign aide who “unintentionally mischaracterize(d) his position.” Anybody notice how often he likes to throw his aides under the bus? It’s never his fault.. He sounds like my 4 year old daughter Ellie. She is having a hard time accepting blame for anything. Yesterday she tripped going down the stairs and she said “They shouldn’t have put those steps there!” Yes, she blamed the steps for being there.

Pizza Deliveryman lays down the smack.

Filed under: Guns and Stuff, Iowa News — Chris Neuendorf @ 2:32 pm

A Pizza Hut deliveryman down in Des Moines had a gun put to his head while trying to deliver a pizza. This was no ordinary deliveryman. This man was packing heat. He was able to disarm the assailant and pull his gun and throw a round into the stupid mope.

Spiers, 38, of Des Moines, told police that when he arrived at the entrance of the building, a man put a gun to Spiers head and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash.

Spiers said that he grabbed the man’s gun, pulled out a weapon of his own, and shot the man in the side, according to a police report.

Good for you, Mr. Spiers. He also has a valid conceal and carry permit, so that part is legit as well. Pizza the Hutt, on the other hand, may end up firing Mr. Spiers.
Vonnie Walbert, vice president of human resources at Pizza Hut, said:

“We have policy against carrying weapons. We prohibit employees from carrying guns because we believe that that is the safest for everybody.”

Walbert said Pizza Hut trains employees to report such incidences to police.

Worst policy ever. The guy has a legal permit to carry, fools. If judging by the reader comments in the story, I think Pizza the Hutt will get some negative reaction from a lot of the folks in Des Moines if they fire Mr. Spiers. I know I’ll boycott those bastards.

Manbearpig will be the winner!

It’s solved! Democratic race prediction: Neither Hillary Clinton nor Barack Obama will win

In Denver, the Democratic superdelegates, like the unelected elites they are, will gather in great worry, maybe after an inconclusive first round of general balloting.

And these big names will pick not the best candidate nor the one with the most delegates or, actually, any delegates or any popular votes.

To solve this self-destructive stalemate, they’ll pick someone who denies even being a candidate, the least-worst candidate, somebody hardly anyone can really object to, except the Clintons.

They’ll pick one of their own superdelegates, Al Gore, Mr. Party Elder, Mr. Nobel Prize, Mr. I-Got-Screwed-Out-of-Victory-Last-Time and Mr. Trust-Me-the-Globe-Really-Is-Round-and-Warming and I’m finally gonna get a chance to do something about it from the White House.

Breaking News: Obama throws his Grandma under a bus!

Filed under: Politics — Chris Neuendorf @ 10:26 am

No… no… not litterly of course, but he sure let the world know his grandma is a racist.

I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother — a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe…”

Now, it’s true that older folk tend to be more divided when it comes to race then folk our age, but seriously people, does he want to be president so bad that he tells the world that his own grandma is a racist? Nice.

Wooo!! Check it out! Justices Appear Skeptical Of D.C.’s Handgun Ban.

A majority of the Supreme Court indicated a readiness yesterday to settle decades of constitutional debate over the meaning of the Second Amendment by declaring that it provides an individual right to own a gun for self-defense.

Such a finding could doom the District of Columbia’s ban on private handgun possession, the country’s toughest gun-control law, and significantly change the tone and direction of the nation’s political battles over gun control.

It’s not like the gun bad was working anyway. The only people who don’t have handguns in D.C. are law abiding citizens. It hasn’t stopped any gun crime in that hell hole.

Kennedy expressed, at least three times during the argument, his disbelief that the Framers had not been also concerned about the ability of “the remote settler to defend himself and his family against hostile Indian tribes and outlaws, wolves and bears and grizzlies and things like that.”

Take that bears!!

The Candy Nazi’s

Check it out!
Conn. Student Suspended For Buying Candy In School

An eighth-grade honors student at a New Haven school has been suspended for buying a bag of candy at school.

Michael Sheridan, a student at Sheridan Middle School, was suspended from school for one day, barred from attending an honors student dinner and stripped of his title as class vice president.

Officials say he was punished because he bought a bag of Skittles from another student.

A school spokeswoman says the New Haven school system banned candy sales and fundraisers in 2003 as part of the district-wide school wellness policy.

Schools should concentrate on… you know.. actually teaching students instead of being candy nazi’s.
